Miniature Bull Terrier Personality traits and Temperament

They are lovable, courageous, energetic and playful, still could be stubborn at times like many terrier breeds. They are loyal to owners and popular as house dogs as they require very little space. They are an independent thinker with an endless desire to be digging, barking and investigating. They love to play in the yard, but ensure that the yard is fenced and the fencing is quite solid.

They love playing with squeaky toys and can entertain themselves by playing with these toys for a long time. When taken for a walk make sure that you have these dogs on a leash. They are notorious leash pullers especially if something catches their fancy so be on your guard always.

Miniature Bull Terriers are active and cheerful playmates for kids, although they are too rambunctious for toddlers. They can get along with other dogs their size or bigger, but toy dogs and cats are likely to set them off.

They can be extremely protective, especially if they think their family is in danger, so be sure to socialize them around strangers and don’t encourage aggressive or guarding behavior. They can also be very territorial and protective of their own space, toys, and food.

Grooming, Haircuts and Shedding

They have short, glossy and fine coat on them with tight skin, therefore requires only minimal grooming. A quick brushing once a day or a few times a week is more than sufficient to keep them clean and in order. They are clean breeds and do not have the doggie odour, so bath can be given only as and when needed. As white colour is the preferred one, taking outside during summer into the sun should be with caution for sunburn and cancer.
